Chronic disease self-management workshop planned at senior center

The Wood County Committee on Aging will be holding a Chronic Disease Self-Management (CDSM) Workshop at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St., Bowling Green, on Tuesdays, May 23 through June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

This six-week evidence-based course includes a course manual and relaxation CD. The fee for the course is $20.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to do more of what they want to do, find practical ways to deal with symptoms and challenges, set weekly goals, make a step-by-step plan to improve health, make better eating and exercise choices, understand new treatment options, and discover better ways to talk to their doctor and family. 

CDSM is developed by Stanford University and licensed by the Self-Management Resource Center.
