Clyde Edward McGuire

Clyde Edward McGuire “Ed”, 58, of Bowling Green passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019. He was born on November 2, 1960 to the late Grover and Helen (VanLear) McGuire in Columbus, Ohio. 

Ed is survived by his sisters: Margaret Jasper of Gibsonburg; Sharon McGuire of Sacramento, CA; Peggy Rausch of Napoleon; Rhonda (Marvin) Bovia of Bowling Green; and a brother David (Donita) McGuire of Elmore. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Sue Spangenberg; brothers: Albert, Dennis, Nial, and Thomas McGuire.

Ed worked as a technician for Laser Cartridge Express / Wood Lane Industries for a number of years. He earned the top state award in 2003 being the one selected from 28,000.   He enjoyed pulling pranks on people and hiding things where only he knew where to find them.  Ed also enjoyed watching TV, listening to Elvis, and wearing his University of Michigan apparel.  He was in the Special Olympics and competed in bowling.  Ed was a people person, he never forgot a face, and loved everyone he met. He was loved by most and liked by all.

Memorial contributions in Ed’s honor may be gifted to Wood Lane Residential Services, or the Special Olympics.

Visitation for Ed will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at noon in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home 1460 W Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Burial will immediately follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Cemetery.
