Cocoon gets grant to continue crisis services during pandemic

(Submitted by the Cocoon)

As an agency providing essential services per the government’s current guidelines, The Cocoon, Wood County’s only domestic and sexual violence agency, remains committed to serving survivors throughout our community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Board of Trustees of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation has
approved a grant from the COVID-19 Response Fund to The Cocoon in the
amount of $5,000. These funds will be used to support crisis services for
survivors of domestic and sexual violence served by The Cocoon.
Grants from this fund are awarded to help support northwest Ohio and
southeast Michigan nonprofits in their efforts to respond to this critical and
emergent crisis.

This grant will be used to ensure uninterrupted crisis line support,
continued access to emergency shelter and adequate supply of basic need
items to those served by The Cocoon.
