Columbia Gas work downtown continues

Columbia Gas of Ohio has provided the city with the following tentative work schedule. The installation of natural gas lines will continue within City Parking Lot 1 this week. As previously released, the western most parking spaces within City Parking Lot 1 (closest to Main Street) will be marked no parking while installation of the natural gas line occurs. The remainder of the parking lot will remain open and accessible.

Natural gas service lines will continue to be installed in the vicinity of the 200 block of North Main Street along the west side of the street. Traffic patterns and parking may be impacted during this work.

Crews will remain on Main Street, from Clay to Oak streets restoring pavement and sidewalk conditions as well as soft surfaces affected by the installation of the natural gas line. Once this portion of Main Street has been restored, crews will move onto East Oak restoring pavement and sidewalks within the work zone.
