The community is invited to “meet and greet” Dr. Ted Haselman, who was hired as new superintendent for Bowling Green City Schools, to replace retiring Francis Scruci.
Immediately following the regular monthly Bowling Green Board of Education meeting on May 16 at the Performing Arts Center, district staff, students, and community members are invited to meet Haselman.
The Bowling Green School Board earlier this week selected Haselman for the job.
The board spent many hours reviewing all applicants’ information, checking references, interviewing, and gathering input from all stakeholders before choosing Haselman as the next superintendent of Bowling Green City Schools.
“The board is very excited about working with Dr. Haselman in our continuous efforts to benefit the rural and city communities, parents, staff and students,” the board issued in a statement.
Haselman is expected to begin work in the district Aug. 1, 2023.
A statement was also released by Haselman, who said, “I am so honored to be named the next superintendent of Bowling Green City Schools. I look forward to witnessing the great things that take place in the district on a daily basis – in the classrooms and school buildings, within the arts and athletics, and all the activities that take place providing the students of BGCS experiences and opportunities that will last a lifetime. I look forward to working alongside each of you and I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and community of Bowling Green.”
