Brad Gilbert, Emergency Management Agency director for Wood County, has issued the following advisory:
Although Wood County is not officially under the following warning at this time, the NWS has issued an Ice Storm WARNING for Lucas County from 8pm tonight until 8am Tuesday morning (for up to ¼” of ice) which is an indicator of the ice potential tonight in our immediate area. The NWS has also issued a Flood WATCH for Wood County for Tuesday. As freezing rain changes over to all rain Tuesday morning, rain could become heavy at times. With frozen ground, flood issues could develop on Tuesday. Please monitor conditions closely tonight and on Tuesday for hazardous conditions.
