County jail found to be in compliance with all state standards

The Wood County Justice Center has received a letter from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction stating the jail is in 100 percent compliance with all 113 standards, 52 essential and 61 important jail standards.

“Some may take for granted our annual 100 percent status with zero deficiencies but, very few counties ever get close to 100 percent, let alone every year,” Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said.

“I want to thank each and everyone associated with the jail operations for a job well done and the Wood County Board of Commissioners for giving us the funding we need to properly operate the facility. All Wood County residents should be proud of our outstanding jail,” the sheriff said.
