County park district increases insurance coverage

The Wood County Park District Board voted Tuesday to renew its annual membership in the Public Entities Pool of Ohio to provide coverage for liability, vehicle and property insurance for the park district.

The board voted to increase the coverage from $4 million to $5 million.

“We are a growing park district,” board member Tom Myers said.

The policy will cost the district $83,417, which is $3,000 less than last year’s coverage. The decrease in the cost is due to a recent inventory of the park district’s vehicles and property.
