By authorization of Wood County Sheriff, Mark Wasylyshyn, Wood County has been placed under a Level 1 Snow Alert effective 8:06 a.m.
According to the sheriff’s website A Level 1 Snow Alert means : “Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Drive very cautiously.”
There’s a winter weather advisory for the county until 4 p.m. with as much as 6 inches of snow predicted.
