COVID cases decline at BGSU

COVID-19 cases reported to Bowling Green State University continue to decline.

In the reporting week ending Tuesday (Sept. 28), 34 new cases were reported to BGSU, 32 confirmed, and two reported by sources not in the state database.

Of those, 28 were students, four are faculty members, and two staff members. The cases are from both the BG campus and the Firelands campus. Last week 55 total cases were reported.

Since the semester began 468 cases have been reported – 447 students, nine faculty, and 12 staff. Only one student who has tested positive is in isolation and no students are in quarantine.

At BGSU,  61.4 percent of all students  have reported being vaccinated, with almost 50 percent having submitted a vaccination card,  and 74.5 percent of residential students with 64.2 percent having submitted a vaccination card. 

Of the full-time faculty and staff 70.3 percent are vaccinated.
