COVID-19 cases are inching up in Wood County. After weeks of single-digit new COVID-19 cases, Wood County has reported 35 new cases since Thursday.
The county is now up to 13,400 confirmed and probable cases from COVID, and 228 deaths since last March, according to the Monday, Aug. 2, update from the Wood County Health Department.
The number of people hospitalized from COVID since last March is 657.
As of today, 53.43% of Wood County’s population has been vaccinated. That’s 69,889 people who have gotten at least their first vaccine dose.
