Credit cards and cash stolen from four lockers at BG gym

Bowling Green Police Division is investigating the theft of credit cards and cash from the lockers of four people working out at a gym on Wednesday evening.

Four men reported that their lockers had been broken into at Planet Fitness, 1135 S. Main St.

The first reported that his debit card, his mother’s credit card, and his U.S. Bank card had been stolen. Before the card could be deactivated, $471.93 had been stolen from his account.

The second told police his USAA card, another credit card, and $20 in cash had been stolen from his wallet. By the time he reported the theft to the police, $440.40 had been stolen from one card account, and $1,017.06 from another.

The third person reported his bank card and cash were stolen from the locker.

And the fourth person reported his credit card, debit card and $20 in cash had been stolen. He told police someone had attempted $600 charges in total – $400 from his credit card and $200 from his debit card.

The thefts remain under investigation.
