A Cygnet woman was killed in a motorcycle crash in Weston on Saturday.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Main Street north of the intersection with Evon Lane within the village of Weston, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash involved a northbound 2013 Harley-Davidson. The initial investigation indicated that the Harley-Davidson failed to maintain its lane while negotiating a curve, running off the right side of the roadway. After running off the roadway, the motorcycle struck a tree then a utility pole.
The driver of the motorcycle, Stephanie Ach, 31, of Cygnet, was located nearby the motorcycle and was transported to the Wood County Hospital by Weston Fire and EMS where she was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Weston Fire and EMS as well as Frank’s Automotive.
