Daisy L Moore

Daisy L. Moore, age 87, of Luckey, OH, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, OH. She was born on July 14, 1929 in Toledo, OH to Clarence and Lola (Wilkins Martin) Gable. In 1947 she graduated from Woodward High School. On June 14, 1947 she married Donald Moore in Toledo and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2013. From 1963-1978 she worked at Mercy St. Charles Hospital as a switchboard operator. Her memberships included: Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey, FOE #197 R.E.A.C., Pemberville Senior Center and a life long member of both Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary Unit #240, Luckey and VFW Post #9963, Walbridge, OH. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling at Interstate Lanes, Rossford and playing bingo at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Oregon and All Saints Catholic Church, Rossford. Above all else spending time with her entire family was the most important joy in her life. Daisy will always be remembered with a smile on her face and for giving a hug to all she met.

Daisy is survived by her daughters: Linda (Robert) Herman of Haskins, OH, Nora (John) Susor of Ocala, FL, Cathy (Renny) McEwen of Cygnet, OH, sons: David Moore Sr of Luckey, OH, Brent (Arena) Moore of Pemberville, OH, 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and sister: Cathy “Kit” Shake of Ottawa Lake, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Donald, daughter-in-law: Cheri Moore, sister: Dolores “Dodie” Slemp and brother: Clarence: “Sonny” Gable.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10 AM. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240, Luckey immediately following the cemetery committal services. Consideration for memorial contributions may be made to: Wood County Senior Center or Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary Unit #240.
