Daniel Archie Smith, 77, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on May 10, 2024 at Birchaven Village in Findlay, Ohio.
Born on March 14, 1947 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Clyde & Ferne (Belleville) Smith, Dan went on to become a lifelong educator with a strong appreciation of farming and woodworking. Dan is a graduate of Bowling Green High School (’65), Bowling Green State University (Bachelors of Speech ’69, Masters of Business Administration ’75).
Dan’s devotion to God, friends, and family was demonstrated daily through his love shown to his wife of nearly 55 years, Donna Mae Emlich Smith, his son, Jason Curtis Smith (Teresa Dryden), and daughter, Sarah Danielle Smith Frederick (Jason). He took great pride in the extensive accomplishments of his children as well as his grandchildren, Jonas Michael Frederick, Lillian Mae Daliece Frederick, Josephine Danielle Grace Frederick, and Evelyn DeAnna Rose Frederick.

His infectious laughter over mischievous antics with dear friends and family including several cousins, nieces, and nephews will be missed.
