David L. Lashaway, 70, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born on October 23, 1947 to the late John and Betty Lashaway in Weston, Ohio. David married Bonnie Carr on June 13, 1967 and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Along with Bonnie, David is survived by his daughter: Deborah Lashaway of Bowling Green; sons: David “Tony” (Donna) Lashaway of Brunswick; Drew Lashaway of Toledo; and James Lashaway of Toledo; sisters: Sharon West; Carol (Chris) Stoefpel; and Patsy Zeltner; brothers: Terry (Judy) Lashaway; John (Judy) Lashaway; and Denny (Kathy) Lashaway; grandchildren: Brittany (Ryan), Darryl, Brady, Jazmin, Daelyn, Ella, and Simon; great-grandchild: Jeffery James “JJ”.
David attended Westwood High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Army as a Military Police and Mechanic. After he was honorably discharged David came back home an ran the gas stations in Haskins and Custar. He then worked for Al Smith Chrysler and became the head mechanic. He worked at Al Smith for over 40 years. David loved trains and traveling to Niagara Falls, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Myrtle Beach with his wife Bonnie. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Gathering for David will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 PM until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM at Deck- Hanneman Funeral Home and Crematory Remembrance Chapel, 1460 W. Wooster Street / P.O. Box 648 Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.
