Debra Ann Hernandez

Debra Ann Hernandez, a cherished soul born on March 7, 1961, in Bowling Green, Ohio, gracefully departed this world on April 20, 2024. She was the daughter of James Rose and Norma Louise Hoffheins, both of whom preceded her in death.

Debra is survived by her ex-husband, Daniel Hernandez, her children DJ Hernandez, Alexis Madden, and Amanda Samson, as well as her grandchildren Molly, Callie, Lilly, Olivia, Lilith, and Aeris. Her memory will also be carried on by her siblings Richard (Becky) Rose and Robin (Tim) Beard. Debra was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Kennedy.

A proud 1979 graduate of Penta Career Center, Debra previously held managerial positions at KFC and Rally’s before deciding to transition to a cashier role at Barney’s (now Circle K) in order to devote more time to caring for her children. Her passions extended beyond her work, finding joy in gardening, fishing, playing guitar, and relaxing by the pool. Debra had a special fondness for her beloved cats, Sebastion & Bean, even the neighborhood stray cats who she cared for with compassion. She was a friend to all.

Visitation for Debra will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402, where friends and family will gather to pay their respects and honor her memory. Burial will follow at Tontogany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to assist the family in covering the expenses of her funeral.
