Deloris Ellen Reitzel age 97, of Bowling Green, OH passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Bowling Green Manor. She was born Deloris Ellen Priest on December 7, 1925 in Toledo, OH to Ed A. and Dorothy Q. (Shoemaker) Priest. She was a member of the Bowling Green High School Graduating Class of 1943. On January 31, 1958 she married Duane H. Reitzel in Perrysburg, OH. They raised one daughter and celebrated over 65 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a homemaker, Deloris worked at the French Knott needle craft store in Bowling Green in her early years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and baking wedding cakes. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and liked attending lunch with what is called the “43 girls”, members of her high school graduating class. With her many joys in life, it was her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren that gave her so much joy in life.
In addition to her husband Duane, Deloris is survived by her daughter: Cindy (Tracy) Bassett of Bradner. Grandchildren: Haley (Bert) Buchman of Pemberville and Brice Bassett of Bradner. Great-grandchildren: Evelyn and Norah. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
