Bowling Green Police responded Monday (Oct. 2) evening to an apartment in the 200 block of Manville Avenue after two tenants reported their apartment was entered in their absence.

The women told police that when they returned home, drawers in a bedroom had been opened, a TV stand had been pulled out from the wall, and there were dirt footprints throughout the house. In the kitchen, most of the cookies on top of the microwave were gone, Tupperware items in the refrigerator had been moved around, and a container of noodles was nearly emptied. They showed police a fork in the sink that was not there earlier, since all the dishes had been washed.

Police took possession of the fork to be sent to a lab for testing.

One of the tenants told police she felt the apartment had also been entered by someone on Sept. 19. When she arrived home, the door was partially open. She noticed grass clippings on the floor and feces in the toilet. She also said she got a notification on her phone that someone connected to her internet service which requires a passcode.
