Doreen Elizabeth Bomeli, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Monday, July 29, 2019.
Doreen was born in McArthur, Ohio to the late Fred Arthur and Mary Elizabeth (Wyman) Swaim. She married Edwin Clarence Bomeli on May 6, 1945 and they were married for 55 years until he passed away on January 26, 2001.
Doreen is survived by a daughter: Deborah (Robert) Bomeli of Bloomington, Illinois; four sons: David Bomeli of Bowling Green, Ohio; Daniel (Cynthia) Bomeli of Solon, Ohio; Paul Bomeli of Perry, Ohio and Timothy Bomeli of Bowling Green, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Doreen was a housewife and a dedicated member of the First Christian Church, Bowling Green, where she held the seat of Moderator on the official board. She was also an elder of the church for many years. She formerly was a member of the State of Ohio Commission Christian Women’s Fellowship. Doreen was a world traveler. She volunteered on election day at polling sites in Bowling Green for nearly 20 years. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Doreen will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am in the First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
