Doris Louise Cole, 97, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away December 15, 2022. She was born June 23, 1925 in Bowling Green to the late Andrew and Ruth (Fox) Glenn. She married Dr. Darrell “Bob” Cole on June 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1992.
Doris worked as the secretary at Grace Church in Perrysburg for many years. She later worked at the Holiday Inn in Perrysburg as a bookkeeper and “fill in bartender”. She enjoyed gardening, baking and loved to travel- making it to all of the National Parks in the United States. She was extremely charitable and giving and loved supporting anything related to animals or veterans. Doris always looked forward to her getting together with her friends to do water aerobics classes and lunch to follow as well as spending time being active with her best friend Irma, walking 3 miles a day, 6 days a week.
She is survived by her sons Andrew (Tawnya) Cole and Robert Cole, grandchild Christian Cole, niece Amelia Mudd and great-niece Kiarra Mudd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Thomas Glenn and sister Marjorie Mudd.
Services for Doris will be private with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Wood County Humane Society.
