Downtown construction shifts north between Washington and Clough streets

The contractor working on the downtown Bowling Green utility project has completed the installation of a new waterline along Main Street, from Ordway through Pearl Street.

It is anticipated that work during the week of Feb. 25 will be focused between Washington and just south of the Clough intersection. As a result, the intersection of South Main Street and Washington will be impacted – primarily involving access to West Washington from South Main.

Traffic along South Main Street within the construction zone will be maintained with one lane in each direction on the eastern portion of Main.

Construction crews are scheduled to continue north with the Clough intersection possibly closing during the week of March 4. All work is weather permitting.

The utility portion of this project is anticipated to last through the spring of 2019. Once complete, a contractor will repave the downtown. Questions about this may be directed to the Engineering Division at 419-354-6227.
