Driver reportedly under the influence flips vehicle after hitting parked car

A Michigan woman, reportedly driving under the influence, hit a vehicle and flipped her car in Bowling Green this morning around midnight.

Bowling Green Police responded to a call about the crash in the 300 block of East Court Street, and found a vehicle on its roof in the middle of the street. The parked sedan that was struck had heavy left side damage and was pushed up onto the sidewalk by the impact.

The driver, Emily Garcia, 22, from Adrian, reportedly was not injured in the crash. She reportedly told police she was was traveling to a friend’s house, and using her cell phone when she struck the parked car.

Garcia reportedly had a BAC of 0.138. She was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence, and for failure to maintain control of her car. Garcia was also placed under an administrative license suspension.
