Duane H. Reitzel, 87, of Bowling Green, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Bowling Green Manor in BG. He was born on June 9, 1936 in Lime City, OH to Glen and Doris (Diebert) Reitzel. Duane married Deloris E. Priest on January 31, 1958 in Perrysburg, OH. Duane and Deloris raised a daughter together and celebrated 65 years of marriage until Deloris’s passing in August of 2023.
Duane was a glassworker at L.O.F. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and bird watching. Duane also liked hunting and fishing in his free time. However, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, the most.
Duane is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Tracy) Bassett of Bradner. Grandchildren, Haley (Bert) Buchman and Brice Bassett and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Norah. His brother Marvin (Kim) Reitzel of Woodville and sister Donna Reitzel of Perrysburg, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his wife Deloris, Duane is preceded in death by his brothers Charles and James.
