Hop on over to Pemberville for Beeker’s General Store Touch of Spring Open House on Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Beeker’s is brimming with seasonal decorations, everlasting wreaths/swags, and nostalgic Easter finds. Come fill your Easter baskets at Beeker’s General Store. It’s where the Easter Bunny shops and he will be here from 10 a.m. to noon for a visit! We will have Easter candy novelties galore.
Come say hello to Artisan Janet Rasmusson who will be showcasing her talent and selling her “Paper Delights” from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Beeker’s Spring Open House! Janet is quite talented at creating paper cards, gift boxes and the like. Her items will be for purchase and she would love to talk with customers about her craft. Additionally at Beeker’s, Rodney Cook of Cook’s Delights will be in-store with his homemade cookies, baked goods and chocolates. Rodney has quite a following, so be sure to stop into Beeker’s to get his greatest selection. Also, Country Grains Bread will have a have an assortment of their best preservative-free loaves for sale. Think sin o’man (cinnamon), challah, apple crumble, pumpernickel swirl and more (selection will vary.) Other fan favorites include plenty of SoBee local honey and Poppin’ George’s Kettle Corn.
Next door, at Higher Ground Café will be a “Breakfast with the Peeps!” No reservations are required to enjoy a menu of mini pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage links, tater tots, fruit, yogurt, and choice of juice/milk/coffee. Children are $4.95 each, children under 3 are free with paid adult meal, and adults are $6.95 each. The breakfast is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Before or after your “Breakfast with the Peeps” at Higher Ground, a Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place in the Henline Building (same building as Higher Ground Café.) Books are wonderful additions to Easter baskets and this will be your perfect opportunity to find something wonderful for your little peeps (adult selections will be for sale, as well!)
Riverbank Antique Market is joining in the Easter fun with an adult egg hunt in-store. Find an egg and receive a discount on a purchase! There will also be an outdoor, giant-sized sidewalk corn hole game.
Stick around for the village Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. Check-in at Memorial Park, Pemberville (next to the American Legion.) Children, preschool age – 6 th grade, are welcome to take part in the hunt. The Easter Bunny will be greeting children with sweet treats compliments of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 183 and Pemberville Independent Merchants Association.
