Edgar “Ed” Holliday, age 77, of Luckey, OH passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born October 21, 1940 in Steubenville, OH to Edgar and Nettie (Reed) Holliday. On May 6, 1961 he married Judith Snyder in Toledo, OH and she survives. For many years he was an electrician for GM Powertrain, Toledo. Ed served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, wood carving, being outdoors, duck hunting and fishing.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 57 years: Judy, children: Tony (Tracey) Holliday of Pemberville, Jill (Mike) Allport of Gibsonburg and Jason (Michelle Rife) Holliday of Bowling Green, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and sister: Sue (Ray) Elieff of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Ruth and Thelma.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. A bereavement luncheon will be served at Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, Luckey immediately following the funeral service. Interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Grelton Cemetery, M-395 County Road 7, Grelton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to: Salem Grace United Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
