Eight people have filed to fill three open seats on the Bowling Green Board of Education. The election is Nov. 5.
Following are the candidates:
- Jill Carr, 832 Hamilton Court.
- Grant Chamberlain, 13385 Dirlam Road.
- Tracy Hovest, 988 Reeves Court.
- Ryan Myers, 1538 Muirfield Drive.
- Brian L. Smith, 16890 Mercer Road.
- Ginny Stewart, 1249 Brownwood Drive.
- Richard K. Strow, 9605 Weston Road.
- Peggy A. Thompson, 559 Sand Ridge Road.
Voters of the school district will also be deciding an income tax and bond issue to build a new elementary school. The ballot issue is a 0.25 percent income tax, and 1.6-mill $20 million, 30-year bond.
