The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Eli Metzger is the May 2024 Student of the Month. Eli, the son of Jeff and Jennifer Metzger, is a senior at Bowling Green High School and will graduate on May 26.
Eli’s school honors and activities include membership in the National Honors Society and National Spanish Honors Society. Eli participates on the varsity soccer team where he was first team NLL Cardinal division, NLL Cardinal division co-player of the year, first team All-District, and All-Ohio in 2023. Eli is also a member of the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra member and an All-State Orchestra participant.
Eli has taken many AP and honors classes while at Bowling Green High School. He has been awarded as an AP scholar and College Board National Small Town and Rural award.
Outside of school, Eli is a concertmaster for the OMEA northwest region orchestra. During this experience, Eli is able to lead orchestra’s during pre-rehearsal warm ups and performances. He is also a worship team member for the New Hope Christian Church.
Eli currently has a composite ACT score of 33 and a 4.305 grade point average. After high school, Eli plans to attend a four-year university and major in data science.
