Eric Peck has filed a petition to run for election for an at-large seat on Bowling Green City Council.
A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Peck said he has experience as a volunteer firefighter, as a board member for an arts school, and is employed in business. He filed for candidacy as a Republican.
“It has been an honor to serve throughout my community in my life and I want to continue to help all citizens in my local neighborhood. Since graduating from Bowling Green State University, giving back has always been a top priority for me,” Peck said. “My education at this great university has set me up tremendously in my career so far, and now it’s time to give back to this great city. My main goal in this campaign is to make sure every person in this city has a voice that is heard.”
Peck said his priorities on City Council would include the following:
- Making sure every citizen within the city has a voice that is heard in the decision process.
- Fiscal responsibility ensuring all tax dollars are being spent correctly and helping drive to eliminate wasteful spending.
- Ensure proper zoning where no citizens in the city of Bowling Green suffer and all concerns are addressed and heard.
- Promote economic development that ensures every taxpayer funded dollar has meaning and is being used in a financially appropriate manner that creates a return on investment for our taxpayers.
- Reenforce sustainability within the city where efforts are progressing in innovative and sustainable ways for the future.
