Here are some of the events planned:
April 9, BGSU 5K and Dog Walk
Student Rec Center

Registrants will receive a t-shirt and pup parents will receive a kerchief for their furry friend!

April 13 and 14, What Were You Wearing
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BGSU Student Union, Room 309
This display features clothing worn by survivors of sexual assault and helps dispel the myth that what a person was wearing provoked their assault.
There is no charge to view the display and the event is open to the public.
April 20, Wood County Clothesline Project
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BGSU Main Campus, outside of the Student Union
This display features t-shirts made by survivors or the loved ones of survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
There is no charge to view the display and the event is open to the public.
April 27, National Denim Day
All Day Event
Wear denim to show that you stand with survivors of sexual assault and know that what they were wearing did not provoke their assault.
This day was originally dedicated to an 18-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by an adult male, whose defense was that the jeans she was wearing at the time of the assault were so tight that she would have had to take them off, making the act consensual. His original rape conviction was eventually overturned based on this defense.

April 30, Music Against Domestic Violence
Noon until 5 p.m.
The Clazel Theatre, 127 N. Main, Bowling Green
Enjoy music by New Moon, Jaimie and Tony and Herbie and the Love Bugs
This event raises awareness about domestic and sexual violence and is in remembrance of Cat Lambert, a local music promoter who was killed in a domestic violence homicide.
Music, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and more.
This is an all-ages event; $5 suggested donation at the door; all proceeds benefit programs and services provided by The Cocoon.
