WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced  today that the United States Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded four grants to airports in Northwest Ohio, totaling $2,134,092 for operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments, and combating the spread of pathogens at the airport. These funds are made possible through the American Rescue Plan, which Brown helped write and pass.

Among the grants is $32,000 to Wood County Regional Airport Authority and Bowling Green State University for the Wood County Regional Airport.

“Ohio airports are vital infrastructure supporting travel and commerce in our state,” said Brown. “These investments will provide Northwest Ohio airports with the resources they need to ensure the safety of their passengers and support the local economy.”

  • 2,038,092 grant to Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for the Eugene F Kranz Toledo Express Airport.
  • $32,000 grant to Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for the Toledo Executive Airport.
