Families are invited to join the Community Learning Centers on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. for the final free family night of the school year, focused on peace, relaxation, mindfulness, and helpful tips to reduce stress.
The evening will consist of a guest speaker, Connie Morris, a professional with experience in special education, mindfulness, yoga – a passion to share her expertise with all ages. Families will learn ways to create stress-managing strategies and mindful techniques.
Being mindful is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention to the present-moment experience. To be mindful, you slow down to focus on the present.
Families will receive free dinner provided by Pagliai’s in Bowling Green. Those who RSVP will receive a take-home bag filled with essential oils, a mindfulness book, fidgets, and more. Children will participate in Cosmic yoga, mindfulness mandala paintings, and creating a take-home stress ball.
