Meet Felix, a 2-3-year-old pittie mix that came in as a stray with Oscar who was featured last week.
“He is a complete love bug who will rest his head on your lap to get petted,” Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “He recently went running with a volunteer and he did fantastic, doing three miles with some energy left over.”
Felix is neutered, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated. He can be barky in his kennel when he first meets someone, “but he does fantastic outside the kennel and calms down and naps with the best of them,” Harding said.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
