The jury trial of William Van Robison, 69, set to begin next Monday has been vacated according to Wood County Common Pleas records.

Robison, who worked as a massage therapist, faces multiple counts of sexual battery as well as single counts of sexual imposition, and practicing medicine without a license, a fifth-degree felony.

The offenses were alleged to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2008, and Dec. 31, 2017.

Robison has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

After a status conference earlier this month, Judge Joel Kuhlman ruled that “the court finds it necessary to vacate the currently scheduled Jury Trial based upon the health status of the Defendant.”

A status hearing has been set for Feb. 9.

Robison’s presence at the January status hearing and is waived for the Feb. 9 hearing.

He is being defended by attorneys from the Wood County Public Defenders office because he has been declared indigent.
