The City of Toledo and the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) are testing gas caps on passenger vehicles and providing free replacement caps for those found leaking.
Testing only takes a minute or two and replacement caps are free. Motorists coming in to test their passenger car or light truck will receive ozone action sunglasses or tire gauges while supplies last.
The program will continue through early August at locations in Lucas and Wood counties and southern Monroe County. One of the testing times is being offered in Bowling Green.
The testing will be available on Thursday, June 13, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Kroger, 1094 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
