George William “Bill” Davisson, aka “Wild Bill”, 80, of Haskins, OH, died November 19, 2017 at his home. He was born March 9, 1937 in Perrysburg, OH to Wilbur & Esther (Twining) Davisson. Bill was a member of Haskins Community Church.
He worked for 26 years as a Wood County Deputy Sheriff, retiring March 31, 1999. He worked in the past for the Haskins Police Dept., Ottawa Co. Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and Lake Twp. Police Dept. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-62. Bill was a Harley Davidson enthusiast! His memberships include National HOG, Northwestern Ohio HOG Chapter, AMA Life member, ATVA, ABATE of Ohio, NRA, Buckeye State Sheriffs Association, American Legion Post #441 Tontogany, OH, US Deputy Sheriffs Assoc., Blue Knights Ohio X International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Inc., Masonic Lodge Grand Rapids, OH, Patriot Guard Riders of Ohio and Motorcycle Riders Foundation.
Survivors include children, Dawn Parsons, Kimberly (Harold) Alcock and Douglas (Tracy) Davisson, grandchildren, Dustin, Christopher, Greg, Nicole, Krista and Jared, and great grandchildren, Landen, Jack and Ava. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Vaughan.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. Peinert Dunn Funeral Home, Tontogany, OH. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at Union Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are encouraged to Haskins Community Church.
