George still at Wood County Dog Shelter, looking for long term relationship with family

Meet George, who is currently the longest stay at the Wood County Dog Shelter, and would love a forever home for Valentine’s Day, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. He is about 3 years old, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on his vaccines.

George absolutely loves people and would make a great family dog. He can be picky with his canine friends so he would do best as the only pet in the home. He loves to go for walks and walks great on the leash.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
