Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is planning its first “Virtual Talent Show.”

Bored at home? Need to do something fun, active, or creative? Need to practice but don’t have an audience? Need to express yourself?

Let’s make the most out of our time at home and make it fun and creative.

Artists never stop creating, and now is the time to show up, share your talents and spread some joy.

Introducing the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Department’s Digital Talent Show.

How’s it work?

This competition is open to individuals of all ages. Entries may be divided into different categories by video type or age based on number of entries. Acts can be one to two minutes long and individuals can submit one video per contest.

Video submissions should be uploaded to a youtube account and the link to your video should be emailed to Ivan at ivan@bgohio.org.

When the videos are received, reviewed and approved, the link will be posted on the official Facebook page of the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Department at www.facebook.com/bgparks.rec.

The community will vote on the top videos with “likes” under your post, and at the end of the contest period the video with the most amount of likes will be declared the winner.

Film yourself doing a talent like singing, poetry, acting, storytelling, stand up comedy, dancing, visual arts, gymnastics, spoken word, magic, creating something, tiktok dances or pet tricks. Just make sure it’s suitable for community viewing of all ages.

Videos are due by Thursday, May 14. The videos will be reviewed and posted by May 15. Votes will be accepted through May 20, with winners announced on May 22.
