Glen L. Gamber, age 94, of Bowling Green, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Heritage Corners, Bowling Green, OH. He was born on May 19, 1923 in Delta, OH to Harry and Myrtle (DeShetler) Gamber. On November 11, 1945, he married Beverly Becker in Wauseon, OH and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2012. In 1988, he retired from the former Citizens Savings Bank, Pemberville as Vice President. Glen served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Navy from 1942-1946. His memberships included: First Christian Church of Bowling Green, Past District Governor of the Lion’s Club, Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post #183 and VFW Post #1148, Bowling Green.
Glen is survived on is survived by his children: Richard (Lyn) Gamber of Delta, Julie (David) Fronk of Celina, Mark (Carol) Gamber of Toledo and Glenda (Dale) Schwartz of Weston, 9 grandchildren, 11great grandchildren and 4 great great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Beverly, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM from First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road, Bowling Green, OH with additional visitation from 9:30-10:00 AM. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the funeral services. Interment will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery, Wauseon, OH at 1:00 PM.
