Habitat for Humanity hosts online auction and NHL20 PlayStation Tournament

New Habitat for Humanity home on Manville Avenue in Bowling Green last year

Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Ohio is hosting its first Hockey for Habitat online auction and NHL20 PlayStation Tournament. This fundraiser replaces the Hockey for Habitat silent and live auction and our traditional ball hockey tournament, canceled due to Covid-19 concerns.

This new online event will support Habitat’s mission to provide decent and affordable housing through its new home construction and home repair projects for families and individuals in Wood County.

The Online Auction is open and is hosted by Don Rose Auction & Realty. Over 140 items are up for bid, including a golf outing with Stanley Cup Champion Darren McCarty, a Recteq Grill, original artwork, hockey equipment, BGSU apparel, furniture, gift certificates, a patio gourmet dinner for eight by Bowling Green residents Larry and Gail Nader, construction supplies and more.

To participate go to www.donroseauctions.com, click on the Online Auction tab, scroll to find Habitat for Humanity and begin your bidding. The online auction will begin to close at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26. Bidders are encouraged to check their bidding status often and be on the auction site when the closing begins (to avoid being outbid).
