A husky named Ice, who came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray, is looking for a home.
The 1-year-old is a small husky, weighing just 35 pounds. When Ice arrived at the shelter, he was wearing a dog license and his owner was contacted, but never came for him.
Ice is a little bundle of energy who loves everybody and everything, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. He loves to play with other dogs, but can be a little rough so a dog introduction is recommended when considering taking this guy home.
“He loves to get the zoomies while on a walk and is just all around a very happy-go-lucky guy,” Harding said.
Ice is neutered, vaccinated and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
