Hazel Irene Pennington, 88 of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on June 20, 2023. She was born on May 7, 1935, to Leo and Mae (Adkins) Elliott. Hazel married Clarence E Pennington SR on February 6, 1953, and he preceded her death in September 1990.
Hazel enjoyed reading books, she favored reading about the Amish. She loved getting together for family gatherings and BBQ’s in the backyard of her home when the children were small. Hazel loved spending time in her home with her family who she cherished. Hazel worked as a home health care provider for many years.
Hazel is survived by her daughters Deborah Lunsford of North Baltimore, Ohio, Vicky (Joey) Dykes of Hinesville, Georgia, Linda Johnson of Toledo, Ohio and Susan Alcorn of Raliegh, North Carolina and her sons, Robert (Belinda) Pennington of Ukon Oklahoma, Randy Pennington of Texas, 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband Clarence, Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Mae Elliott, sons Clarence Pennington Jr, Timothy Pennington, Ronald Pennington, William Pennington and daughters Pamela Wright, Cindy Wilkerson and her 4 siblings.
Memorial contributions can be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
