The Wood County Emergency Management Agency has issued the following advisory:
We have a potential heavy rain this afternoon (June 6) and ending tomorrow morning. Currently, the rain is forecasted to begin around 2pm with a chance of thunderstorms through the evening hours and early overnight hours. Wood County could see 1” to 1.5” of rain. Our area is forecasted at a marginal risk for thunderstorm activity.
What to expect:
* Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the area late this afternoon through tonight.
* Thunderstorms may produce isolated damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rain that may lead to localized flooding in urban and poor drainage areas.
* Best chance of stronger thunderstorms will be across northwestern Ohio and the best chance of localized flooding will be along and west of the I-71 corridor.
