Helen Virginia Miller

Helen Virginia Miller, 93, of Bowling Green, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024.  She was fondly known as “Moey” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born on January 26, 1930 to the late Ralph and Mary Madeline (Wolverton) Ferrell in Big Bend, West Virginia.  She married Howard Miller in 1961 and he preceded her in death.

 Helen is survived by her daughter Anita Knauss of Bowling Green, Ohio; sister Susan Jones (James) of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Kelli (Patrick) Gucciardo of Holland, Ohio; Kimberly Knauss of Avon, Ohio and Adam Knauss of Bowling Green, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Kennedi, AJ, Tyler, Zachary, Nicholas and Alexander; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Mary Madeline; husband Howard; son-in-law, George Knauss; siblings: Betty Fern, Joanne Schreiber, Mary Arthur and Harold “Jack” Ferrell.

 Helen retired from BGSU, where she was employed in Custodial and Food Services. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and taking trips back to West Virginia.  She loved her Boston Terriers, of which she had several throughout the years.  She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 A private graveside service at Union Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.

 Contributions in her honor may be gifted to Wood Lane Residential Services.
