Helen Woelke, 95, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Helen was born on March 8, 1927, in Bowling Green to the late Alfred and Clara (Young) Joseph. She married the love of her life Victor Woelke on April 20, 1951 and he proceded her in death on April 19, 2018.
Helen is survived by her daughters: Vicki (Margus) Sweigard of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, Dawn Hartwig of Weston, Ohio, son James (Martha) Woelke of Bowling Green, Ohio, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Deyo, Donald, George, Victor, Lloyd and Ronald, Ada Wilt, Betty Asmus, Donna Nichelson and son in law Thomas Hartwig.
Helen was a 1945 graduate of Webster High School and was the last surviving member. She was a faithful and the oldest member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran church in Dowling. Helen was a member of the Southwest Council of Farm Bureau. Helen enjoyed camping and traveling especially to Florida with her late husband Victor. Helen was a devoted, determined and strong willed individual. She loved spending time with her family. Helen liked to crochet, and made wedding gifts for each of her children and grand children.
Visitation for Helen will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of Helen’s Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CEMATORY, 1460 West Wooster Street/ P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green, Ohio.
