The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the community to participate in the Holiday Nature Crafts program.

Children can celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve on Saturday, Dec. 16, for a day of nature-inspired crafting. There will be two sessions – one from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and the other from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

This festive event offers an array of activities that cater to both preschool and elementary-age children ranging from 3 to 11 years old. Participants will be able to craft five projects that can be used to adorn their homes for the holiday season or given as gifts to loved ones.

The program is free, but registration is required. Bowling Green residents may register starting Monday, Nov. 20, while non-residents can begin their registration on Monday, Nov. 27.

In addition to the creative crafting stations, this program will provide treats that can be toasted over an open fire.

This is an opportunity for families to come together, explore their creativity, and make lasting memories.
