The Bowling Green Community Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Bowling Green, has announced plans for the dedication ceremony for the Hometown Heroes banners, scheduled for June 9.
This event will coincide with a Community Band Concert at City Park, commencing at 7 p.m.
The Hometown Heroes banners will serve as a tribute to the valor, service, and sacrifice of local veterans, with each banner bearing the name of a distinguished serviceman or woman. The dedication ceremony will include a formal reading of the veterans’ names at the conclusion of the concert.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating during the concert and reading. In the event of rain, the concert will be relocated to the Veterans Memorial Building at City Park.
Due to limited parking, carpooling or walking to the park is recommended.
“We invite the community to join us in honoring our Hometown Heroes and expressing our gratitude for their service,” said Marcia Latta, president of the Bowling Green Community Foundation.
