The Hope for the Holidays Drive Thru Bash with 13abc to benefit The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots will be held on Dec. 7.
Once again, 13abc is hosting its annual Hope for the Holidays campaign to benefit The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots. Since the Hope for the Holidays project began in 2011, more than 113,000 toys have been distributed throughout northwestern Ohio. The campaign continues through Dec. 21 with toy distribution taking place prior to Christmas.
The annual “drive thru bash” to be held on Friday, Dec. 7, happens all day (from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) at three area locations. On this day, volunteers will be accepting new toys at 13abc studios at 4247 Dorr St. Locations will also be operating at The Salvation Army offices at 1045 N. Main St. in Bowling Green and 301 Center St. in Findlay.
Those wanting to donate in Bowling Green can drop off new, unwrapped toys at The Salvation Army office through Dec. 21.
In addition to toy donations, The Salvation Army in Bowling Green is continuing to seek volunteers for its Red Kettle campaign. The funds raised during this campaign make it possible for The Salvation Army to assist Wood County residents year-round. Volunteers are needed through Dec. 24 and are scheduled for a minimum of two hours. Groups, churches, and businesses are encouraged to Adopt-a-Kettle for the day.
