The Wood County Emergency Management Agency has issued the following advisory:
For tomorrow (Feb. 5), we can expect a potential for snowfall in the afternoon but it is only expected to be trace amounts. Light snow will possibly develop late evening, transitioning to sleet and freezing rain between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. with rain continuing until 7 a.m. Ice accumulations are expected between 0.10” and 0.20”.
With this amount of ice accumulation, we can expect power outages, downed trees/limbs and hazardous road conditions. Depending on when the transition between freezing rain and ice occurs, we can expect potential school delays and hazardous road conditions.
Total rainfall is expected to be between 0.50” and 0.75” which may cause some potential minor flooding.
Another similar round will be moving through Saturday afternoon starting around noon through the evening hours.
