Jackson, a 1-2-year-old pit mix who came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray, is waiting for a real home. He came to the shelter very thin. He is now 54 pounds, and staff is still working to put some pounds on him.
Jackson is an active guy, who would love an active family. He loves to go for walks and loves attention. He seems to do well with other dogs at the shelter, but it’s always recommended that potential adopters bring their dogs in to meet him first. He is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and neutered.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
